Between school & blogging
I haven’t really been sharing much about life outside of blogging. I know I’ve mentioned a few things here and there but sometimes there are other things that get in the way of life, and I feel like sharing my schedule with you guys will hold me accountable as well as help anyone out who is trying to manage their time; whatever it may be they are trying to accomplish. In the beginning of this month I shared my goals for the year, my main one was to have a consistent schedule on my blog and social medias. So far, I have to be honest I’m just not feeling in a good routine yet. Partially, I think it’s because I haven’t been planning around my other commitment – school.
When I started blogging, I knew that it was a good time for me because I have been trying to get it going for a while and the timing just felt right, which is everything. I also knew it was going to be a struggle because of the fact I am going to school full-time. Outside of school fortunately I have no other job, so this is where my free-time has been going. That’s why it’s so important to be passionate about this business because it’s a 24/7 job. Always producing content, trying new products, writing posts, or whatever it may be that you’re doing as a blogger/influencer. I first created a schedule for myself based on the fact that it was every other day of the week (Monday. Wednesday, Friday) and sometimes I did an occasional weekend post. Realistically, Monday’s are ALWAYS my busy day at school and I normally have off on Tuesday and Friday. Therefore, I would rather not be rushing content and post it on Monday, just for the sake of posting on Monday. There’s nothing wrong with posting on Tuesday’s and I’ve come to realize it is OK that I have my own commitments that are also important to me. Everyone is allowed to have a schedule that works for them, every blogger I follow each have different posting schedules which makes it more fun to look forward to certain days for certain people.
SO with that being said, I am going to explain my new schedule a little so you can know sorta what to be expecting! Now that I’ve accepted the fact that Monday’s just don’t work, my new posting days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and still with an occasional weekend post (when it’s just too good not to share right away). On Tuesday I’m planning on either a recipe post or a fashion related post. These are two of the things I post a lot about and I think that it will create a little more change in my feed! Wednesdays are pretty much going to be totally random which I think is fun because you’ll never really know what exciting thing I’ll have to post! I know tomorrow I am posting a recipe that I shared on my Insta and it got a great reaction so I’d like to share that on here. However, I am not going to be posting duplicates of the same type of posts in one week, so since today is not a recipe post my Wednesday post can be one. On Fridays I want to try a new feature: Fitness Fridays! I am taking a fitness journey that I’ll be sharing on Friday for the first time. This feature could include things like fitness apparel, different workouts, motivation and advice, or maybe some healthy recipes! I’m excited about this because I feel like a lot of people are on their fitness journeys as well and this could help someone along the way! Lastly, my occasional weekend posts are going to be a recap of my purchases from the week! I love when y’all react to my purchases and ask how I like them so I would love to make this a feature on my blog so you can always refer to it!
I really want to try to stick to this schedule for at least the whole month of February and see how it works for me and how everyone else is feeling about it. I am so excited to be able to share my life with you guys and this is truly something I love to do, more than anything else. I hope this plan works for all of you and you can now look forward to these days of the week. Thank you all for reading, and remember you can put your mind to anything no matter what people may tell you! See y’all tomorrow.
With Love, Taylor
